You asked, I listened, so now here is yet another color choice of my ever popular E-Z Stand - A beautiful green!
Even when using one of my Gripper playing card holders, do you notice that your hand gets cramped or tired when playing a long card game?
If so, here's your answer - and it's a pretty simple one!
Here at the Amazing Gripper, I'm always looking for unique and different ways to make holding playing cards easier. Recently, while discussing a rather long card game with a friend and fellow card player, I realized that even using my Gripper Playing Card Holders, a person's hand can get tired and sometimes cramp up! After a lot of thinking, many sketches, and a lot of prototype testing, I’ve figured out how to make a nice, simple card holder stand. Handmade using select acrylic plastic, you can read about it here:
The Amazing Gripper E-Z Stand - Now in Green!
This little jewel will work with all my Gripper styles (and with other similarly styled card holders - plastic canvas and yarn card holders included!).
Once you feel your hand getting tired or cramped, just reach for your Gripper E-Z Stand. In just a few seconds you’ll have your Gripper standing up all by itself! And your hand muscles will thank you. (Please view the photos; Gripper playing card holder and cards are shown for ILLUSTRATION ONLY and NOT included.)
Once your Gripper is on the E-Z Stand and you want to add a card or remove one, you’ll still have to pick it up, but even with the E-Z Stand in place, you can still hold your Gripper, or you can just set it down and it'll stand up all on its own! Of course, when an emergency run to the Ladies' or men’s room is in order, you may want to take your Gripper (E-Z Stand and all) with you so no one will be tempted to look at your hand. :o)
So, there you are - a unique yet simple addition to my Grippers to help you hold all those playing cards.
Size: 3" X 2-1/4" X 1"
Rest assured; these are hand-made by me in a VIRUS-FREE environment.
Caution: The E-Z Stand is not intended for children under the age of 6
***Newly improved with felt on the base and rounded corners for safety!***
(PLEASE NOTE: this is only for the THE E-Z STAND itself; the card holders are for illustration only and is NOT included.)
Please contact me with any questions you may have and thank you for visiting!
Some of my customers have mentioned that it'd be nice to be able to set their Gripper on a stand of sorts to give their hands a break during a long card game. So I set out to see if I could create something simple, yet effective. After a lot thought & experimentation, I came up with what I call the E-Z Stand. Quite simply made and so easy to use, I think the end result is what was needed.
Hello, and thank you for stopping by! My name is Rob (posing with my beautiful wife Jeanne) and I'm excited that you've decided to drop by to learn a bit about me and why I make playing card holders!
Prior to becoming a crafter, I was a self-taught artist, dabbling in watercolors, oils, acrylics and pencil. When I retired the first of 2007, I tried my hand at producing paintings of landscapes, birds, flowers, and even portraits. However, it didn't take me long to find out that unless one is extremely talented the artwork pretty much goes unnoticed.
I'm having a good time in my retirement and this new chapter of my life, but I'm the type of person who needs to be busy. So when my wife retired a couple of years later, we decided to try the "Snow Bird" scene for a while. (It was fun, but all the driving to and fro plus the packing, etc. got way too tiring so that was the end of that.)
But while we were there I discovered that many retirees loved to play card games. However, I also learned that there were many who had problems holding the cards due to hand issues, way too many cards, etc. So I decided to set out to find a solution. After many trials and errors, I came up with a prototype which, after consulting with my wife (who has done quite a bit of sewing and quilting) I improved upon and set out to test my "invention" at craft fairs. They went over so well that I actually sold out at my first one! I quickly made more that evening and participated in another craft fair where I just about sold out again.
After arriving back home, I improved upon my design yet again and started making more for our next trip to the south. The next craft fair was a testament to word of mouth advertising, as many of my customers were referrals from the customers who bought from me the previous year. Thus, the Amazing Gripper Playing Card Holders were born! My unique card holders have continued to evolve to what you see here in my shop. Over the years, I've added many styles to the delight of many of my loyal customers.
So there you are - my story in a nutshell. I hope you enjoyed reading it; please continue to browse my shop and contact me if you've got any ideas or comments. Enjoy, and have fun at the card table!
